What Defines a True Champion?
While all other NCAA Division I sports have a clear-cut postseason to crown a national champion, football is still shrouded in controversy under the BCS. The idea for a college football playoff has been discussed for years, mostly in response to the BCS not producing a clear-cut champion. The other issue is the fact that teams from non-BCS conferences may win their conference and go undefeated, yet still have no shot to play for a national title. The fact is, the BCS is an over-complicated system that does not provide ALL schools with a fair opportunity to play in a national championship game. The only viable option is to use a system that has been proven to work, a system that is used by every other major collegiate sport, a system that is unbiased and fair, and a system that is simple. This of course, is a playoff system.
BCSBusters.com was created to raise national awareness of the BCS' shortcomings, as well as to demand a playoff system be put in place to determine the national champion. The web site hosts an open forum for fans to collaborate and form a playoff system that everyone can agree with. With your interest and participation, we can change the entire post season!
